Grendon Rangers 5

Haddenham Utd 4

Grendon Rangers secured their second Oving Villages Cup trophy win with a 5-4 victory over Haddenham United, in front of a fair sized crowd who had braved the wet conditions.

Grendon Rangers raced into a four goal lead and must have thought they were in for an easy afternoon as Jamie Baker and Adam Perna scored the goals but back came Haddenham through Andrew Lambie, Adam Rowly (2) and David Daley brought Haddenham level. Haddenham's hard work was undeon when they were reduced to 10 men and this allowed Adam Perna to score his fourth and retain the trophy for Grendon Rangers.

The Oving Village Cup Vice Chairman, Jim Styles, presented Grendon Rangers with the trophy. Thanks to the officials, Brian Sinclair, Kevin Dunnings and Steve Ottaway who made sure nothing got out of hand.

Lastly, a word of thanks to the Oving Village Cup committee and all the supporters, who once again turned out on Easter Monday to support the competition.
