Haddenham United 0

Oakley United 3

Oakley re-entered the competition this season and made it to the final, the last time was back in 1993/94 when they beat Brill. Haddenham are back in the final just two years after they lost a memorable game 5-4 to Grendon Rangers. As it turned out Oakley were too strong for Haddenham and came out 3-0 winners. In a game short of incident, two first half errors from the Haddenham defence gifted Oakley their goals. In the second half Haddenham were unable to make an impression and a third goal late on sealed the victory for Oakley.

The Oving Village Cup Vice Chairman, Jim Styles, presented Oakley United with the trophy. Thanks to the officials, Lauren Tuxford, the first female to officiate the final, Graham Wray and Kevin Saw who made sure nothing got out of hand.

Lastly, a word of thanks to the Oving Village Cup committee and all the supporters, who once again turned out on Easter Monday to support the competition.
